TECHNICAL DIRECTION

Integrating and managing all technical elements within a creative vision, Siek Designs provides technical direction to identify the required resources, equipment, and personnel to execute live events, experiential marketing, custom fabrication, and immersive experiences. We specialize in design development and technical integration, vendor management, venue site surveying, and onsite production execution. Throughout the production process, our scope may include producing, managing, and reviewing technical documentation such as plans, schematics, and construction detail drawings. As well as, communicating and collaborating with designers, engineers, contractors, and other production stakeholders to create a cohesive and efficient production process.

PRODUCTION DRAFTING

Translating design concepts into comprehensive drawings, production drafting is a critical tool for visual communication. Detailed CAD plans, elevation/section drawings, and realistic renderings are created to illustrate the integration of various technical departments such as staging, scenery, rigging, lighting, audio, and video. In addition, safety and accessibility plans are produced to ensure compliance with applicable ADA and fire marshall regulations.

DESIGN FOR BUILD

Aiming to optimize the construction process, design for build considers the various factors related to the constructability of a design. Siek Designs applies value engineering and experienced scenic construction and fabrication techniques to determine the appropriate structural/mechanical systems, materials, and finishes to build a design. These ideas are communicated through parametric CAD models, part and assembly drawings, and file preparation for CNC machining. Siek Designs strives to create technical designs that are simple and straightforward, avoiding unnecessary complexities.
